Air fryer chicken is a healthy and delicious way to enjoy juicy and tender chicken without all of the fat and calories associated with deep frying! All you need is a few basic ingredients and some time in the air fryer!

Boneless Skinless Breasts

The secret to perfectly crispy chicken in the air fryer is a good coating that has an even texture, maximum crunch, and full flavor. Our seasoned coating mix is specially created for air fryers, and it’s ready to use in just a few minutes!

Our breaded chicken in the air fryer is marinated in buttermilk and hot sauce before getting a good coating of our seasoned coating mix. It’s then fried to get a nice golden-brown finish that’s perfect for dinner!

It’s quick to preheat and cooks quickly, so you can make this recipe on a busy weeknight!

You can also prep your chicken in advance to make meal prepping a breeze. You can freeze cooked chicken up to 3 months in freezer-safe storage containers or longer if vacuum sealed.

This air fried chicken recipe is great served with our Healthy Vegetable Sides like Roasted Broccoli, Roasted Sweet Potatoes or Sauteed Zucchini. It’s also a delicious addition to your favorite salads, sandwiches, wraps, and casseroles!

Cajun Seasoned Chicken Bites

For these chicken bites, we used a mixture of cajun seasoning, sugar, salt, paprika, red pepper flakes, poultry seasoning, and thyme. We also added in some olive oil to the mixture to make it extra flavorful!

Toss all of the chicken and vegetables in the mixture and place them in the air fryer basket. Shake the basket every few minutes to ensure that they are cooking evenly.

Remove from the air fryer when they are done. Let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving them. This is called carryover cooking and it allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

If you’re using boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts, you’ll need to adjust the cook time. You’ll need to cook them for an additional 7 or so minutes on the first side to get them fully cooked, and another 3 or so minutes on the second side.

You can also add other vegetables to the mixture, such as shredded carrots or potatoes. Just be sure that they are cut into small pieces so that they will cook evenly in the air fryer.
